What is Raftsmen about?
The three main characters of the film are people of different generations and destinies, who are united by one thing, the main thing in their life is work. Work is their life. Eight hundred kilometers from Moscow, in the north of the Kostroma region, lumberjacks are felling wood. It will be tied up in 36 huge rafts, and when the river opens in April, it will be possible to go downstream. But even then there will be time for amazing stories about sea voyages to Africa, Kostroma beavers and Russian space. For humor and complaints about the cruelty of the Russian fate. It blends documentary elements. The film reflects a distinct Russia style and perspective. The story is brought to life by director Kirill Makarenkov. With a runtime of 1h 49m, it offers a comfortable feature-length experience.
