What is Downshifters about?
A successful thirtysomething couple find themselves at a financial dead end; they are faced with an extreme lifestyle change to pay for their debts. The luxury lifestyle ends when they are forced to move into a rented apartment in the suburbs. But to their friends, they hold up a facade and explain it all with downshifting. It blends comedy elements. The series reflects a distinct Finland style and perspective. The story is shaped by its creator, Teppo Airaksinen.
