What is Distrust Everything about?
American artist Mirek Hardiker, former Stanford researcher, has built a gigantic (21 years on a daily base) archive of transcripts of his dreams, which serve as a dataset. Generative neural network systems 'reads' Hardiker's reports and generates new dreams from what is learnt from the dataset. The generated text serves as a screenplay for the entire film. Archetypal characters and events thus seem to emerge from a synthetic unconscious. The story is brought to life by directors Lorem and Francesco D'Abbraccio. With a runtime of 23 minutes, it offers a concise viewing experience.
