What is Fourth Axis about?
The Atomium was built for the 1958 Brussels Expo as an emblem of scientific progress. The gigantic monument represents an atomic lattice of iron crystals, magnified one hundred sixty-five billion times. In Fourth Axis, camera moves inside the actual structure cause a virtual nanoskeleton to grow, bringing the Atomium’s three-dimensional elements into a new alignment along an infinite vector. The story is brought to life by director Van McElwee. With a runtime of 2 minutes, it offers a concise viewing experience.
