What is Memory 1136 about?
Michael, later in life also known as Mikhail, became intrigued by news of youth like himself running off to San Francisco, to new ideas, living communally and breaking away from conservative expectations. In these times of social exploration, of liberated energy, of amassing memory after memory there also were conflicts with those intolerant of everything the young ones created. After a few short years, numerous traumatic experiences drove many to return home and others to seek utopia elsewhere. Michael/Mikhail was not a revolutionary, he was only lending a hand to a way of life that fostered a healthy, prosperous community, a place where mutual support raises the wellbeing and power of everyone. The story is brought to life by director Myron Emery. With a runtime of 14 minutes, it offers a concise viewing experience.
