What is Train Fixation about?
This work employs a system of ‘naturally occurring’ masks. The view of a street-scape is obscured by trains passing by on four parallel tracks-camera is run when train is passing. Train windows, doors, gaps, between cars, variously reveal or frame the ‘action’ taking place. The story is brought to life by director John Dunkley-Smith. With a runtime of 10 minutes, it offers a concise viewing experience.
