David Trueman is a young doctor who dreams of going to South America to practice medicine among the disenfranchised. Arriving in Bolivia, he encounters enough corruption and oppression to drive him away from his dreams and into the drug scene. Disillusioned and escaping to the U.S., he meets Mary, a young heroin addict who shares his angst. As the two commiserate, their bleak outlook lightens, promising a glimmer of hope for the both of them. It blends drama elements. The film reflects a distinct Australia style and perspective. The story is brought to life by director Ian Pringle. With a runtime of 1h 37m, it offers a comfortable feature-length experience.
The main cast includes Richard Moir, Jo Kennedy and Nico Lathouris. Behind the camera, the film is directed by Ian Pringle, written by Doug Ling and Ian Pringle, produced by Basia Puszka and Bryce Menzies.
