What is De risicojongens about?
Jan van der Prijt lost hundreds of thousands of euros on the stock market due to the crisis. He hopes to recoup his losses through investments in land. For Albert van Bekkum, investing is a sport. His accountant says he has a keen sense for prime locations. The first real estate investors in Montenegro are doing good business. But the high returns to be had on the land soon disappear. Vincent and Wladimir believe there is good money to be made in real estate and decide to build a luxury apartment complex on Montenegrin land. Construction begins before the complex is fully financed. It is important that the apartments are sold quickly, otherwise there will be no money to complete the project. However, the credit crisis throws a spanner in the works. Potential investors become wary and put their money into savings accounts. It blends documentary elements. The series reflects a distinct Netherlands style and perspective.
