What is J-VIBES about?
J-POP—the vibrant world of Japanese pop music—is rapidly gaining global momentum. In 2025, Japan launched its first major international music awards, MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN, attracting worldwide attention. This past June, the second edition took place in Tokyo and was broadcast live on NHK, creating significant buzz. This program highlights artists and works making an impact on the global stage, featuring coverage of J-POP live events overseas and insights into how the music is received around the world—capturing the genre's current pulse. Hosted by Kento Nakajima, a two-time official ambassador for MAJ, and Morishita Erika of NHK WORLD-JAPAN. It blends news and documentary elements. The series reflects a distinct Japan style and perspective.
