What is Merry-Go-Round about?
Merry Go Round was the BBC's miscellany series for primary schools for 20 years. It brought together programmes on many, varied school topics which did not have a separate series of their own for the primary years, including science, history, geography, literacy, and even sex education for 7 to 9 year olds. The series also produced many drama serials to help with teaching history or English, and two of those serials even gave rise to the long-running schools programme Look and Read. The series reflects a distinct US style and perspective.
